Meet Sam – The Engineer behind this innovation
Samuel Omobhude is a Nigerian, has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and Master’s in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from University of Benin and University of Port Harcourt.
He worked in the oil and gas industry for several years as a project manager and terminal manager in upstream and downstream of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, and also had his catering business with other partners in Port Harcourt.
He relocated to Canada in 2017, and felt it was time to attend to his passion (creating food). Samuel gained admission into Humber College, where he was studied two programs simultaneously, Quality Assurance in Manufacturing and Culinary Skill. He graduated from both programs with Honors.
Samuel returned to Humber College to start Baking and Pastry Mgt and graduated with Honors, and had Award and Scholarship from Lindt Chocolate Canada, and Baking Association of Canada (Ontario Chapter).
Because of the passion in creating recipes that represent Africa and specifically Nigeria, he started some online program with Havard University, where he studied Science and Cooking (relating Physics, Chemistry and Math to cooking), also fermentation of food, using microbes and bacterial to create recipes and drinks with biological process, after crowned it all with an Entrepreneurship program.
Samuel Omobhude is the owner of Chef Engineer, and have developed some infused Nigerian recipes, like food and pastries, recently made the Nigerian-Italian Pasta and also Suya Ravioli, some other Nigerian-Canadian infused recipes, Teresa’s Salad is one of his trademark.
Chef Engineer believes in Humanity, his business is centred around helping the homeless, orphans, poor children and special need people, his passion to help give skills and motivate them to follow his steps and do better than him, in areas they are passionate about.
